Sorry if this has been asked before. I'm new to soap making. I've seen that a lot of recipies online use palm oil. I understand it's good for producing a hard bar. However, due to the ethical and environmental issues surroundin palm oil I don't really want to use it. The most common substitutes that I see recommended are tallow and lard.
